We started the day at the DoubleTree in Jersey City, where both Lauren and Jason got ready for their big day. The couple’s first look took place at Liberty State Park, where they shared an emotional moment before starting their photos. We loved taking photos in the old train terminal with the couple and bridal party. It had the right mixture of elegance and romance. Next, we headed to Battello for the ceremony and reception. The ceremony was emotional and left not a dry eye in the room. The reception was breathtaking with every single detail. Their reception was filled with non-stop entertainment, including live musicians accompanied by the amazing and very talented DJ Jeff Scott Gould of the SCE Event Group. Everyone was surprised by an appearance by the one and only Fatman Scoop. One of the most emotional moments of the night was the couple’s first dance, during which Jason invited his kids to join them on the dance floor.
The couple’s wedding planner, Detailed Events by Lo, did a fantastic job of bringing together all the elements of the wedding. Premier Events by Reema provided beautiful floral arrangements that perfectly complemented the black and white color scheme, while Stephanie Somodi created stunning invitations and stationery. Kayla Straton and Kristen Okaly did an amazing job on Lauren’s makeup and hair, and Mike Simons Video captured all the special moments on film. Lauren and Jason’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of their love, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness together.

Lauren and Jason tied the knot in a chic and modern black-tie wedding at the gorgeous Battello venue in Jersey City. This was a very special wedding for us at Heyn Photography. Marissa has been friends with Jason since 2006, meeting him at a bridal show so many years ago. Since then, they became friends and have enjoyed working on so many beautiful weddings together. The whole Heyn Photography family was looking forward to sharing this day with Lauren and Jason. We just knew it would be one for the ages, and it absolutely was!
